Dear Parents and Students,
I hope everyone had a lovely weekend!

TOMORROW is our trip to Cedar Glen YMCA. Students are expected to arrive at school no later than 7:45am. Students need to prepare for the weather (gym uniform, hat, sunscreen, light jacket/sweater, water bottle, snack).  We will arrive back at the school at 4:00pm, after this time students will be sent to aftercare.
It will be an exited day!!!

DANCE/ MYP Shakespeare Play:

For your enjoyment, SJA PYP teachers will be hosting a FREE SJA dance in the SJA auditorium for your children, so you can sit back and relax. The dance drop off will begin at 6:00pm.

To reserve your tickets for the dance and the theatre performance, please e-mail Kaitlin at reception@stjudesacademy.com. Limited tickets are available and are available on a first-come first-served basis.

Math:
Today students completed their quiz for this past unit. They also completed a per-assessment for our next unit on Measurement.

UOI:Coding
Today we began our new unit on CODING!!

Students completed a KWL chart today, so that I can see what they already know and want to know. We then watched two videos:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cKhVupvyhKk
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IoPx_rSicrM

The second video is really interesting and motivating! I could tell students were excited to learn!
We then spent around 10 mins trying out different coding games on https://code.org/learn
Students are welcome to continue to explore this website and the games it has.
