This morning we had our Spelling Bee and it was great to see both the students participating and the support from their peers.
From our class, Lucas will be moving on to the Grade 5 Inter-School competition on May 31st.
Saanvi will also be moving on to the Grade 6 Inter-School competition.
A big congratulations also to Dolapo, Manish and Aishraya for participating and representing our class!
Math:
We took a look at Area of rectangles today! For students at choice or absent, here is an additional video to help you at home (watch until 5:10). We learnt the formula for area:
A= length x width
Language:
Since the spelling bee went very long this morning the students did not get a chance to work on their Language Cree Art projects. They will receive time tomorrow in class to work on it. This will be the last in class session for this project.
UOI:Coding
Today students received a small lesson on how to use Prezi. This is a presentation site that allows for lots of creativity within the display aspect of a presentation. For the students in choir or absent, here is a tutorial to help get you started.
