Tomorrow we will be watching the JK-2 Arts' Night rehearsal, this will be an opportunity to see what we will then be a part of for the Grade 3-8 Arts' Night. Students in choir, please make sure that you return the form sent home today and bring in required costumes!
The School Spelling Bee will be Wednesday this week! For students that moved forward in the competition please make sure to be dressed in full uniform.
Math:
Today we looked at perimeter and area using a gird and measuring perimeter. We began by watching this video from Math Antics. It does a really good job of explaining what perimeter means and how to calculate perimeter. Students are encouraged to watch the video again if they struggle with the homework.
Language:
Students today worked on their Cree art projects. They were given the rubrics that they helped create! Students who forgot to bring their materials in today worked on their written components. They are encouraged to bring all materials tomorrow!
UOI:Coding
Today students were introduced to our first big project. They will be looking at a computerized technology and how it has impacted our way of communication within society today. We will be using a google classroom for some of the teaching delivery. If students do not have a google account yet I am asking that they either set one up or have permission from parents to allow me to help them create one. Students are really excited about using their laptops and now that they are all equipped, I expect to see better research skills.
